Coopers Hawk

Coopers Hawks are frequently seen at feeders.  Perhaps that is one reason that they seem easier to approach than their other brethren.

This hawk is a regular at the Guelph Lake Nature Centre in Northern Guelph, Ontario.  The hawk was sitting in a tree just down one of the paths from the feeder and was unconcerned with my presence.

Adults have brighe red eyes.  The dark orange shade to the eyes of this one lead me to believe it's a juvenile on the cusp of adulthood.
