Least Sandpipers - affectionately known as "Peeps" are amongst the smallest of the sandpipers.
A friend (www.kegressy.com) had told me of a good place at Guelph Lake (just north of Guelph) where there were a number of shorebirds "hanging out" during fall migration.
Over the next week, I went up several times, finally getting a great picture of a very co-operative peep. Fantastic late-day light lends great colour to the picture, and using a tripod made the picture "tack-sharp". It has to be my favourite picture to date, and I hope you like it as much as I do.
